9970 ADSL Ghost Factory Reset Guide

Please find the below guide for configuring a DLink 9970 Router for a Ghost ADSL connection. You can also download a copy of this guide here.

1. Press and hold the FACTORY reset button on the back of the router for 15 seconds.
2. Connect to the router via WiFi or ethernet
3. Open a web browser to http://192.168.1.1

4. Enter admin as the USERNAME and admin as the PASSWORD
5. click QUICK START wizard on the LEFT hand side and click NEXT

6. Region and Time Zone.  Select United Kingdom in the drop down and click NEXT.

7. Select NO. I want to configure the internet connection myself. And click NEXT

8. Enter the following and click NEXT.

• ISP: Other
• L2 INTERFACE TYPE: ADSL
• VPI: 0
• VCI: 38
• INTERNET CONNECTION TYPE: PPPoA

9. Enter the following and click NEXT.

• USERNAME: replace-username@ghostgb.co.uk
• PASSWORD: replace-password
• CONFIRM PASSWORD: replace-password

10. Ignore the 3G / 4G backup and click NEXT

11. WiFi leave default and click NEXT.

12.  Click SAVE. This screen will show your information not what is show below.

13. Click FINISH
